Martirosian: Hacker attacks may continue for several days
Azerbaijani hackers on February 26 launched a DNS attack on AMNIC Net system of domain names and got the IP address, entry code and password of Arminco provider, director of ADC Company Karen Sargsyan told a press conference today.
About 300 Armenian websites, including Aysor.am, came under Azerbaijani hackers’ attack yesterday.
According to K. Sargsyan, although ADC’s system is closed and protected from attacks, the Azerbaijani hackers used the IP, entry code and password to enter the system and change the domain name regsitry.
Information security expert Samvel Martirosian said for his part that it was the second planned attack of Azerbaijani hackers when they managed to change addresses of some websites and redirect them.
Such attacks may continue for several days, Martirosian noted. “They changed the DNS of those websites, and whenever one accessed the website, it was redirected to other domains spreading propaganda about the Khojaly events,” Martirosian said, adding that the attack was not the work of some ‘schoolchildren hackers’, but those who ‘try to question am. domain and endanger the security of websites so it is a problem on the national level”.
