S. Ohanian discusses issues of NATO new programs in Brussels

A delegation headed by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian attended the meeting of defense ministers of the countries participating in the NATO-led mission in Afghanistan and the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council’s meeting on defense capacity building and cyber security, Armenian Defense Ministry said. The meetings took place at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Issues related to the ISAF mission to be completed in 2014 and NATO’s new initiatives to be launched in 2015 were discussed at the meetings.

During the visit to Belgium, the Armenian delegation also participated in the Sumgait pogrom victims’ remembrance ceremony which was organized by the Belgian Committee of the Hay Dat and took place in a central square of Brussels.

Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian, Armenian Ambassador to Belgium Avet Adonts and the head of the Armenian mission to NATO Armen Yedigarian laid wreaths and flowers at the Armenian Genocide Monument.
