David Harutyunian elected chairman of NA commission on gas issues

As was reported earlier, the interim commission on gas issues convened its first sitting in the Armenian parliament today.

Among the participants were Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction members - Chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs David Harutyunian, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial, Credit and Budget Affairs Gagik Minasian, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Economic Affairs Vardan Aivazian and the leader of the Christian-Democratic Union Khosrov Harutyunian, as well as representatives of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Mikael Melkumian and Gurgen Arsenian, Orinats Yerkir Party (OEK) faction member Hovhannes Margarian, secretary of Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Aram Manukian, secretary of ARFD faction Aghvan Vardanian, and head of Heritage faction Ruben Hakobian.

ARFD deputy Aghvan Vardanian told Aysor.am that David Harutyunian was elected as chairman of the commission, and Mikael Melkumian was elected deputy chairman.

The interim commission’s sittings will be held behind closed doors, except in cases envisaged by a decision of the commission.
