M. Khojoyan transported to Yerevan. Deputy health minister visits him
Armenian citizen Mamikon Khojoyan, who was released by Azerbaijan recently after being held captive in recent months, has been transported today from the Ijevan city medical center to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center. He was accompanied by a traumatic surgeon from Yerevan.
Deputy Minister of Health Vahan Poghosian visited Khojoyan on the instructions of Armenian Health Minister Derenik Dumanian.
“A number of examinations, including computed tomography, are necessary for a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s health condition,” Vahan Poghosian said, adding that the health minister took personal control of Mamikon Khojoyan’s case and regular reports will be made about his condition.
According to traumatic surgeon Gor Amroyan who examined Khojoyan at the Ijevan medical center, M. Khojoyan has suffered numerous fractures, injuries and bruises.
At Surb Grigor Lusavoruch Center, Khojoyan will have an X-ray of his chest, right arm, and pelvis, undergo an abdominal ultrasound examination, a computed tomography of the brain, and have blood tests.
Doctor assess Mamikon Khojoyan’s condition as serious, but stable. He receives intravenous therapy in the intensive care unit.
