Upcoming meeting with OSCE MG Co-chairs going to be ‘regular’

There are no big expectations from the upcoming meetings of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs with the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, expert Edgar Hovhannisian told Aysor.am.

According to him, these meetings can be categorized as ‘regular’. A lot also depend on Azerbaijan that as a rule ruins all initiatives of the mediators, E. Hovhannisian said.

According to him, it is time for the mediators to set preconditions to Azerbaijan during these meetings, in particular preconditions related to inhuman treatment of Armenian prisoners by Azerbaijan.

“A clear demand should be made to act constructively, at least in humanitarian matters,” the expert said, adding that the role of the diplomatic corps is also important in this issue.
