Events dedicated to Days of Francophonie start at Yerevan schools

A literary and music event was held at Yerevan school No 11 after Monte Melkonian as part of Days of Francophonie in Armenia scheduled for March 10 to April 10, the press department of Yerevan Municipality reported.

The head of the municipality’s general education department Gayane Soghomonian attended the event. On behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian, she greeted those present, saying that the municipality will always assist schools and kindergartens as far as it can.

Issues related to La Francophonie Organization, Armenian-French relations and cultural ties were discussed at the event. The school chorus performed songs of world-famous singer Charles Azanvour.

Events dedicated to Days of Francophonie in Armenia will be held at more than 40 schools under the jurisdiction of Yerevan Municipality.
