Number of divorces on the rise in Armenia

The number of marriages in Armenia declined by 3.7% in January-December 2013 compared with the same period of 2012 and amounted to 18,363, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

The number of divorces in the country in January-December 2013 made 3,756, increasing by 15.6% as compared with January-December 2012.

205 divorces were recorded per 1,000 married couples in Armenia in January-December of last year. The same index in January-December 2012 made 170.
