Minister: We'll provide insulin dependent patients with drugs for 5 years

"We managed to save quite a large sum when purchasing insulin directly from the manufacturer last year. Thanks to this saving, we will be able to completely provide insulin dependent patients with drugs for 5 years,” Armenian Health Minister Derenik Dumanian said during the parliament-government Q&A session today.

According to the minister, there are currently 12,800 insulin-dependent patients in Armenia and their number increases by 1,200 every year. Only high-quality drugs are purchased, the minister stressed.
