Aram Manukian: There are problems in ruling camp

The authorities’ reaction to the recent consultations of the four non-coalition parliamentary forces show that problems exist in the ruling camp and Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), the secretary of Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Aram Manukian said at a briefing in the parliament today.

In his words, the parliamentary discussions of the bills on advertising and on the creation of a commission to examine the March 1, 2008 events have become a kind of litmus paper.

“Everyone said in their statements that the March 1 crime must be solved, but many voted against the commission’s creation. They say one thing, but do another. Everyone speaks about the need to ban tobacco and alcohol advertising, everyone speaks about health, but at the same time votes in favor of the law on advertising,” Manukian said.

He expressed an opinion that HHK will weaken soon, while the opposition will become stronger.
