Martirosian: Current situation and ways out were discussed at meeting

As is known, a meeting of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) leader Gagik Tsarukian and Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian took place yesterday.

The meeting was followed by the two political forces’ press releases that did not give details.

The deputy chairman of Heritage Party Armen Martirosian said during a talk with the correspondent of Aysor.am that the current situation in Armenia and ways out of it were discussed at the meeting. “We presented the situation and our proposals concerning ways of this situation. The proposals were quite similar. We both believe that only unity and consolidation will allow us to lead the country out of this situation”, he said.

Asked if resignation of President Serzh Sargsyan was discussed at the meeting, Martirosian replied that he cannot comment on substantive discussions as the meetings and discussions are still underway. As regards the next step, Armen Martirosian said that it will become clear during further meetings and discussions.

We would remind you that Raffi Hovannisian, Armen Martirosian, Ruben Hakobian and Hovsep Khurshudian represented Heritage Party at yesterday’s meeting, while Gagik Tsarukian, Vartan Oskanian and Stepan Margarian participated on behalf of BHK.
