Bicycle protest march held in downtown Yerevan
A bicycle march was held today in downtown Yerevan on the initiative of “I am against the compulsory accumulative pension system” (Dem.am) civil movement. The purpose was to inform citizens about the upcoming rally in Liberty Square on March 22.
“The previous bicycle marches showed that this is quite an efficient way of increasing awareness,” Tigran Martirosian, a member of Dem.am, told reporters, noting that dozens of cyclists participated in the march.
The bicycle march started from Liberty Square. Cyclists rolled through Sayat Nova and Abovian Streets, Republic Square, Mashtots Avenue and Liberty Square in the city center. Leaflets were distributed along the route.
