Ghukasian: War between Russia and Ukraine may start on March 22

Political scientist Andrias Ghukasian believes that war will break out between Russia and Ukraine on March 22.

“Crimea’s independence will be declared today. Tomorrow Russia will recognize Crimea as its part. A war between Russia and Ukraine will start on March 22. Russian troops will present an ultimatum to the Ukrainian armed forces and a war will then break out,” Ghukasian said.

In his words, the confrontation between Russia and the U.S. has been going on for many years and now it has reached a conflict situation.

“This situation concerns Armenia immediately,” Ghukasian said, expressing regret that Armenia declined to discuss the issue.

“If a world war breaks out, Armenia will become a combat area. Armenia hopes, however, that Putin and Obama will come to an agreement,” he noted.
