Expert: OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs justify hopes
The Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group have so far failed to propose a solution which would be acceptable to Armenia, Nagorno Karabakh, and Azerbaijan, but they have managed to ensure relative peace, military expert Samvel Petrosian told the correspondent of Aysor.am when commenting on Azerbaijan’s statements about inefficiency of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs’ work.
In his words, the conflict settlement is quite a complex and long process and one should not expect a speedy solution.
“Yet, the maintenance of relative peace and stability is no less difficult, which has become possible thanks to active work of the co-chairs,” the military expert said, adding that in all the cases, the mediators manage to bring Azerbaijan to the negotiating table.
