Levon Ter-Petrosian meets with Lithuanian ambassador to Armenia
First Armenian President, leader of Armenian National Congress (HAK) Party Levon Ter-Petrosian met today with Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Erikas Petrikas on the ambassador’s initiative, HAK said in a statement.
According to the statement, at the request of Mr. Petrikas, Levon Ter-Petrosian spoke about the current crisis situation in Armenia and the obstacles to the establishment of democracy and the rule of law, economic development, and improvement of the social situation.
Levon Ter-Petrosian indicated the alarming migration rate and the current authorities’ inability to prevent it as a major challenge. The sides discussed regional and international problems, in particular the prospects of the Karabakh conflict settlement.
HAK board member Avetis Avagian also participated in the meeting.
