T. Sargsyan: Relations built on complementarism more acceptable to us

Armenian Prime Minister, deputy chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan is on a visit to Brussels in order to attend the summit of the European People’s Party later today, the press office of the government said.

Tigran Sargsyan met today with several members of the European Parliament and representatives of some European structures and international NGOs. The meetings were held in the office of European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) NGO.

He responded to the questions of those present. In the context of development prospects of Armenia-EU relations, Tigran Sargsyan reaffirmed again the Armenian authorities’ political position, according to which the doctrine of foreign relations stipulates balanced improvement of relations with all the partners, not at the expense of each other.

In the words of Tigran Sargsyan, the ‘or-or’ principle is unacceptable to Armenia. “Building relations on the principle of complementarism is more acceptable to our republic,” he said.
