Officer wounded in Martakert in stable condition after surgery

Officer Varazdat Zakarian who received a gunshot wound in Martakert yesterday has undergone surgery and is now in stable condition, Aysor.am was informed by a doctor of the Stepanakert military hospital.

“Zakarian is in stable condition. He received two gunshot wounds to the thigh and the shank. One bullet lodged in his wound so Zakarian underwent surgery. He was already transferred to a ward,” doctor Garik Azrian told Aysor.am.

Soldier Arman Ghukasian, 20, died of a gunshot wound on March 19 during the performance of a military task in an army unit located in the northern direction of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

Officer Varazdat Zakarian also received a gunshot wound.
