Mitat Celikpala: Armenian-Turkish border should be opened

Turkey expects Armenia to ratify the Armenian-Turkish protocols on the establishment of diplomatic relations, while Armenia expects the same from Turkey, Mitat Celikpala, Associate Professor at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, said at the international conference “NATO and the South Caucasus: Strategic Approaches to Regional Security” held in Yerevan.

“As a result, we have a zero result,” he stressed.

“It is too difficult for the Turkish elite to assume such responsibility and open the state border between the two countries,” M. Celikpala said.
