Raffi Hovannisian: Leaders of 4 non-coalition parties should meet
“Those political forces that consider the results of the 2013 presidential elections as rigged should admit the inevitability of a power change in the country,” the leader of opposition Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian said.
In his words, Heritage is not opposed to a vote of no confidence in the government, but the party demands a complete change of power in Armenia, ‘starting from Serzh Sargsyan’.
“The situation in the country will not change after the prime minister’s resignation. The matter should concern an impeachment. It does not mean that we will give up the format of cooperation with the non-coalition forces. I don’t rule out either that the prime minister’s resignation is a stage-by-stage option,” Hovannisian said.
‘The leaders’ meeting has not taken place so far. This meeting is necessary in order to reconcile some differences and say at last that the cooperation format has exceeded the bounds of the parliament,” he stated.
