Hovik Abrahamian: If law has shortcomings, we will correct them

We are worried about any concern of the people and we must give explanations, Armenia’s National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamian told journalists, when speaking about the introduction of the compulsory accumulative pension system in Armenia.

In his words, the law has shortcomings and legislative reforms are planned, which will, however, happen through discussion, rather than pressure.

‘If we find out that there are shortcomings in the law, we will correct them without fail,” he noted.

When asked if the authorities are prepared to cancel the compulsory component of the law, the speaker replied that they are “prepared for discussions”.
