Armenia and Diaspora should help Armenians of Kesab

Armenia should rely only on itself and the Diaspora, rather than on any international humanitarian organizations, when dealing with the problem of residents of the Armenian-populated town of Kesab in northwestern Syria, Armen Petrosian, an Arabist, told journalists today.

In his words, both Armenian and Diaspora organizations should take all the necessary measures to help the Armenians of Kesab.

“There is little hope that humanitarian organizations will be interested in helping Armenians. We ourselves should find ways to assist our compatriots,” Petrosian said.

We would remind you that attacks were launched on Kesab from Turkey on March 21. The Armenian residents of the town had to abandon their homes and move to Latakia.
