Armenian soldier dies of gunshot wound

Serviceman Arayik Babayan, 19, died of a gunshot wound at 1:10 pm today, on March 27, in the performance of a military task on the frontline position of a military unit located in the eastern direction of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, the press service of the NKR Defense Ministry said.

The NKR Defense ministry shares the sorrow of the bereavement and expresses it condolences to the family, friends and fellow servicemen of Arayik Babayan.

Aysor.am was informed that the incident occurred in the Martuni direction. The Armenian soldier was killed by a sniper bullet. He is a relative of Hero of Artsakh, Lieutenant General Samvel Babayan.
