Armenia Fund allocates 50,000 euros for Kesab Armenians

As part of its actions to assist the Syrian Armenians, the French affiliate of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund (Armenia Fund) has allocated – through the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia – 50 thousand euros for solution of urgent problems of the Armenians of Kesab, according to the Fund’s press service.

We would remind you that on the morning of March 21 the Armenian-populated town of Kesab in Syria was attacked from three border positions in Turkey. Some of the Kesab residents had to flee to mountains to escape danger, while the others were temporarily evacuated to the province of Latakia.

A group of deputies of the Armenian parliament left for Syria in connection with the Kesab events. The delegation is composed of Republican Party of Armena (HHK) faction members Ms. Naira Karapetian, Samvel Farmanian, Levon Martirosian and Arman Sahakian, independent deputy Edmon Marukian, and deputy Tevan Poghosian of Heritage faction.
