Rustamian: Armenia voted correctly at UN General Assembly meeting

“Armenia did the right thing by voting against the resolution on Ukraine at the UN General Assembly meeting,” the head of ARFD parliamentary faction Armen Rustamian said.

In his words, Armenia cannot oppose a referendum which was based on the free expression of the popular will. The international community needs to understand that decisions should not be taken against the will of peoples, he noted.

According to Armen Rustamian, the countries to have voted in favor of the resolution will change their position over time, as it happened in case of the Russian-Georgian war.

“I am sure that the Crimean people indeed expressed their will,” he stressed.
