Minasian: Actions of state bodies were unlawful since January 24

When presenting his closing arguments in the Constitutional Court (CC) today, ARFD faction deputy Artsvik Minasian asked the court to consider as unlawful the non-execution of the CC decision of January 24 by Central Bank of Armenia, the Armenian government and other state bodies.

He indicated in particular the fact of 5% compulsory deductions made by some employers from their employees’ salaries after the CC’s decision to suspend temporarily some provisions of the Law on Accumulative Pensions.

“Against their own will, they had to make compulsory deductions before the end of the court examination of the case. It is also necessary to establish the rights of those who did not make compulsory payments,” Minasian said.

It should be noted that the sides presented their closing arguments at the sitting of the Constitutional Court today. Then the CC members went into consultation room to reach a verdict. The CC is expected to announce the verdict tomorrow, on April 1.
