Sociologist: Prime minister resigned because of injured pride

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan had strategic goals and clearly understood what is necessary for Armenia’s development, but he resigned because his pride was injured, the head of Sociometer Center Aharon Adibekian told journalists.

“He was disappointed in us as we did not support his program,” Adibekian said, noting that the accumulative pension system has been introduced in 56 countries. “Tigran Sargsyan was disappointed. People did not understand him and his good intentions,” the sociologist noted.

In his words, T. Sargsyan managed to prove to foreign investors that the Armenian banking system is stable. According to Adibekian, there are no financiers like him in Armenia.

“We need a prime minister who has personal contacts with financial companies, but I don’t see such a person now,” Adibekian said.
