Baku didn’t confirm readiness to receive Armenian delegation

In accordance with the work plan of the Council of Defense Ministers of CIS Member States (CDM) and with the aim of trust building measures in the region, Armenian Defense Ministry planned to send a delegation to Baku for participation in a regular sitting of the Committee of Chiefs of General Staffs of CIS Member States.

The delegation was to travel to Baku and back via Moscow where the representatives of the Armenian armed forces arrived on April 7, 2014.

Despite the invitation of Secretary of the CDM of CIS and the official notification sent to Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, the receiving party did not confirm its readiness and interest to ensure the reception of the Armenian delegation, due to which the delegation’s flight from Moscow to Baku was cancelled.
