Education Ministry transfers 1 million drams for Kesab Armenians

A number of educational and scientific institutions have joined the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s initiative to assist Armenians of Kesab and transferred money to a special account opened for this purpose, according to the press service of Armenian Ministry of Education and Science.

1 million drams was transferred to the special account.

The Ministry called upon all the institutions of the sphere to join the initiative and help Armenians of Kesab and Syria as much as possible.

We would remind you that on the morning of March 21 the Armenian-populated town of Kesab and nearby settlements in northwestern Syria were attacked by militants of Al-Nusra Front and the Islamic Front groups that crossed into Syria from Turkey. About 700 Armenian families were evacuated from Kesab to Latakia.
