Armenian president visits Turkmenbashi mausoleum

During his official visit to Turkmenistan, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited today the mausoleum of the first President of the independent Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov (Turkmensbashi), the Mosque and the Monument to the Constitution of Turkmenistan in the village of Kipchak, the Armenian president’s press service reported.

The Armenian president laid wreaths in the Turkmenbashi mausoleum and at the Constitution Monument, paying a tribute of respect. S. Sargsyan also planted a tree in the alley of honorary guests near the Constitution Monument.

An official reception on behalf of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will be held tonight in honor of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
