Raffi Hovannisian: Big explosion expected in Armenia

A big explosion is expected in Armenia, the leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian said during the rally in Liberty Square of Yerevan today.

“The government’s resignation that our political forces, the public and civil movements had demanded is now an accomplished fact and it happened without 24-hour rallies. That is to say, we have entered a historical stage,” he noted.

Raffi Hovannisian reminded those present that ten days ago he made a speech saying that either there would be a ‘joint square’ or he will make a separate statement.

“Better late than never. Although there is no joint square as such, I am sure that it will exist soon, this month. We will do everything so that the next meeting will be held in this format,” the politician said.

According to him, the struggle continues. “I am proud of you and our young activists who should be aware that they struggle and block streets not for solution of only one problem,” he stated.

We would remind you that at the March 28 rally Raffi Hovannisian stated about the need for a joint platform of struggle and consolidation of all the forces and he called for a change of power ‘from top to bottom’.
