Armenia hails adoption of Genocide resolution by US Senate

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian issued a statement over the adoption of a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide by the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

‘We hail the adoption of Resolution 410 recognizing the Armenian Genocide by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. We highly appreciate the principled stand of Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Robert Menendez and those Committee members who supported the resolution. The adoption of Resolution 410 by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee ahead of the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is an important step towards restoration of historical justice and prevention of crimes against humanity,” the statement says.
