16.2% unemployment rate recorded in Armenia

According to data for the second half of 2013, the unemployment rate in Armenia was 16.2%, Anahit Hambartsumian, a fundamental analysis expert, told reporters today.

According to her, it is a medium unemployment rate: some European countries have much higher unemployment rates. She stressed the impact of migration on Armenia’s indices.

Older people constitute the majority of the unemployed in Armenia, Anahit Hambartsumian said.
