Arthur Baghdasarian: Serzh Sargsyan is my friend, but I follow my own path

“Serzh Sargsyan is my friend, but each of us follows his own path, each has his vision and ideas of the future. I am following my own path,” the leader of Orinats Yerkir Party (OEK) Arthur Baghdasarian, who has resigned as Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council, said at a press conference today.

OEK Party earlier announced its decision to leave the ruling coalition.

“I am now parting with Serzh Sargsyan. From now on I will criticize everything, which will consider wrong,” Baghdasarian noted.

When asked if he will demand S. Sargsyan’s resignation, Baghdasarian replied: “It would be dishonest of me - we have worked together for six years. He himself said he will go so I find no sense in doing that”.
