Galust Sahakian proposed as candidate for parliament speaker

Armenian President, Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Serzh Sargsyan proposed the head of HHK parliamentary faction Galust Sahakian as candidate for the post of speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly, the parliamentary vice speaker, HHK Party spokesman Edward Sharmazanov told journalists.

The candidacy of Galust Sahakian was approved today at the sitting of HHK’s Executive Body and Board.

Sharmazanov also announced that Hovhannes Sahakian has been appointed as chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, and Ms. Hermine Naghdalian will head the Armenian delegation to the PACE.
