ARFD will not vote on parliamentary speaker’s candidacy

ARF-Dashnaktsutyun faction will not participate in the vote on the candidacy of the new speaker of the Armenian parliament.

“We have repeatedly said that we will not take part in events which are of a fictitious nature and whose outcome is predetermined,” the head of ARFD faction Armen Rustamian told reporters.

He at the same time said that the candidate for parliamentary speaker Galust Sahakian has a wide experience. “He can get along with everyone and do it even in a most unimaginable situation. He can find a compromise. This shows that as a politician, Sahakian has long experience, which will help keep an atmosphere of consensus in the parliament,” Rustamian noted.
