Composition of NA Counting Commission changes

The members of ARF-Dashnaktsutyun, Armenian National Congress (HAK), Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and Heritage factions will not vote on the draft on making changes in the composition of the Counting Commission of the RA National Assembly, the representatives of these factions said prior to the vote.

The head of HAK faction Levon Zurabian stated that ‘due to this special sitting of the National Assembly and the given decision, the parliament is being turned into a buffoonery’.

“We have no desire to take part in this buffoonery. We will not participate in this vote and the vote to elect the speaker,” Zurabian said.
Despite the mentioned parliamentary factions’ refusal, a vote on the decision about changes in the composition of the NA Counting Commission was held at the special sitting of the parliament today.

68 deputies voted in favor, one voted against. Thus, the composition of the Counting Commission of the National Assembly will be changed.
