H. Abrahamian: Compulsory component will be de facto abolished

During the ‘government hour’ in the Armenian parliament today, BHK Party deputy Vahan Babayan asked Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamian a question about the compulsory accumulative pension system.

The prime minister replied that the accumulative pension issue is now under discussion.

“We will discuss this issue and we expect the six parliamentary factions to work jointly with us,” he noted.

In his words, the proposals of four non-coalition factions are also being examined.

In response to the BHK deputy’s question about whether the compulsory component will be removed, the prime minister said:
“You want a direct answer, but I cannot give it. I already said that the compulsory component will be de facto abolished”.
