Armenian ambassador to Iran: Armenian-Iranian relations should be expanded

“Over 3,000 Iranian companies operate in Armenia,” Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Arakelian was quoted as saying by the IRNA news agency.

Speaking about the current level of Armenian-Iranian economic links during an event with the participation of foreign ambassadors, the diplomat stressed that over 3,000 Iranian companies operate in Armenia, but there are few Armenian companies in Iran.

Grigor Arakelian added that Armenian-Iranian political and economic relations need to be expanded.

It is noteworthy that a sitting of the Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission is due in Tehran in September.
