Two injured in blast in Armenian-populated district of Aleppo

Armenians were injured in an explosion in the densely populated Armenian district Nor Gyugh of Aleppo, according to the press service of the Berio Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The source said the explosion occurred near the National Sahakian School and left two men – Beno Pilavchian and Levon Hovhannisian injured. The two men were hospitalized and treated. They are out of danger.

Yesterday, on May 2 Aleppo’s Armenian-populated district Suleymaniye came under rocket fire. Three Armenians, including 13-year-old Karo Palian, were wounded.

Marlen Pokravorian and Ara Chilaboshian received minor wounds during a missile attack on May 1.

According to the source, explosions also occurred in Villener and Sheikh Taha districts yesterday. There were reports of injuries and material damage.
