Azerbaijani troops continue to fire at Aygepar border village

This morning Azerbaijani troops opened fire on Aygepar border village in Tavush province of Armenia, according to the correspondent of Aysor.am who along with group of reporters and Bishop Bagrat Galstian is touring border villages of Tavush.

The shooting began when a meeting of local residents with the reporters was underway in the school yard. The Azerbaijani armed forces also fired at farm machinery during agricultural work. No one was injured.

The villagers even joked they are used to such things and see nothing unusual in them, while children could name the type of arms from which the shots were fired.

“You are witnessing the situation, in which these people live. We came here to thank the residents of border villages and assure them that we will always be at their side,” said priest Aram Mirzoyan, spiritual head of Shamshadin region of the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

A group of reporters also visited Nerkin Karmiraghbyur village where shots were fired last evening and night.
