Vayots Dzor governor urges editors to be more responsible

The governor of Armenia’s Vayots Dzor province Edgar Ghazarian commented today on reports of several mass media outlets about his resignation. “Each person should bear responsibility for any action aimed at the public, including a speech. It is one thing to talk with someone, it’s quite another to make a public statement. We all should bear responsibility to society,” the governor said.

“I think that comments should be made on such reports in cases when the heads of mass media outlets whose materials did not become a reality are resigning. If they write that the governor of Vayots Dzor province will resign on Saturday and this does not happen, it means that the report’s author should at least apologize for publishing incorrect information,” Edgar Ghazarian said.
