Four factions submit pension reform proposals to government

The four non-coalition factions of the Armenian parliament today summarized their proposals concerning the accumulative pension system and submitted them to the Armenian government. The document bears the signatures of members of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), ARF-Dashnaktsutyun, Heritage Party and Armenian National Congress (HAK).

The deputies will wait for the government’s response until May 10 and then they will discuss further steps.

A few days ago the speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Galust Sahakian declared that the parliament will call a special session on May 12.

Although other issues have been included in the agenda of the special session, it is not ruled out that discussion on the Law on Accumulative Pensions will also take place.
