Warlick’s statement aimed at starting talks around peace agreement

The aim of the OSCE Minsk Group U.S. Co-Chair James Warlick’s speech was to start discussions around provisions of the peace agreement on the Karabakh conflict settlement so that the peoples of two countries could be prepared for the peace agreement, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern told reporters.

Speaking about the possibility of Nagorno Katabakh’s participation in talks, the ambassador reminded those present of Mr. Warlick’s words that the positions of all the parties are important for the process. According to him, the issue of participation should be a subject of negotiations between the parties and cannot be imposed by anyone.
