Konstantin Orbelian’s funeral to be held on May 11

The commission for the organization of the funeral of People’s Artist of the USSR and Armenian SSR Konstantin Orbelian held a sitting in the Armenian government’s office today.

A decision was taken that the composer will lie in state in the Aram Khachatrian Concert Hall of Yerevan from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm May 11, and he will be buried in Komitas Pantheon on the same day.

Konstantin Orbelian died in the United States on April 24 at the age of 86.
