Azerbaijan opened heavy fire on Armenian positions on May 9

On May 4-10, the Azerbaijan side violated the ceasefire about 400 times on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan, with over 3,000 shots fired at Armenian frontline positions by Azerbaijani units, according to the press service of the NKR Defense Army.

The gunfire from the Azerbaijani territory was especially heavy on May 9. On the holiday and the days preceding it, Azerbaijani troops fired over 1,700 shots, violating the ceasefire 200 times.

Armenian servicemen took the appropriate measures. They confidently performed their military duties along the Line of Contact.
