Armenian parliament holds special sitting today

The Armenian parliament convened a special sitting today at the government’s suggestion. Speaker of the National Assembly Galust Sahakian announced that the deputy of Prosperous Armenia (BHK) faction Grigor Grigorian has filed an application to give up his parliamentary seat and that his application will be granted if Grigorian does not withdraw it within 15 days.

Galust Sahakian also said that Bahram Baghdasarian and Gagik Melikian were elected as head and secretary, respectively, of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction.

It is noteworthy that the bill on amendments to the Law on Compulsory Accumulative Pension System will be discussed at the special sitting of the NA.
