Tevan Poghosyan: Government has other plans

The deputy of Heritage parliamentary faction Tevan Poghosyan welcomes the abolition of the compulsory component of the accumulative pension system.

“But the problem is that now an employee will have to file an application to the employer, saying the he/she does not want to be a participant of the accumulative pension system,” T. Poghsyan noted.

“In reality the opposite should take place. The government has other plans because people will either get sick and tired of writing such applications or they will not be allowed to do it, and in December the government will say that the majority of the population is in favor of the compulsory system,” the deputy said.

In his words, the amendments to the law were made with the sole aim of bringing the civil movement to naught.
