Georgian landslide stops gas supply to Armenia, kills 3 Turkish workers

A landslide in Darial Gorge of Georgia left at least 3 Turkish workers dead, Interfax news agency reported citing Georgian mass media. The Turkish workers were involved in construction of a hydropower plant.

The landslide blocked the entrance to the tunnel where people could remain.

Russian natural gas supply to Armenia via Georgia has been interrupted as the landslide damaged the gas main.

Rocks blocked the Terek River creating a threat to residents of nearby settlements. The local residents are being evacuated.
