Hrant Bagratyan assesses new government program
Deputy of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Hrant Bagratyan made comments on the new government program in the Armenian parliament today.
In his words, in the last six years it has been the first program to address value-added tax. “I welcome VAT-related clauses in the government program,” Bagratyan said.
In his opinikn, economic growth can be achieved in the country in case of using correct mechanisms. The deputy discussed the agricultural sector as well.
“Agricultural insurance may have a stimulating effect. It is necessary to subsidize farm produce and assist famers,” Bagratyan noted.
According to him, the government program also has shortcomings, in particular it does not address taxes and loans and problems of macro and micro business. Clauses related to small business were not included in the program either, the deputy said.
Speaking about the compulsory accumulative pension system, Bagratyan stressed the need to find a final resolution to the pension law.
