Sergei Minasyan: Government program resembles a declaration

“I don’t think that with the formation of the new government we will have a new economy and economic developments,” political scientist Sergei Minasyan told journalists.

“The provisions of the new government’s program resemble good wishes. The main reason is that the system of checks and balances stopped functioning in Armenia’s domestic political life. Almost no one in our country can influence the government’s activities today,” Minasyan noted.

“The previous government had to do something, due to the internal political and global crises. As a result, some reforms were carried out. Factors that would urge the government to make systemic changes are absent now. It is natural that the government program should resemble a declaration,” Minasyan said.
