Manucharyan: Complex processes take place in Turkey
Complex processes are taking place in Turkey and it is hard to predict further developments, the member of Karabakh Committee Ashot Manucharyan told journalists today.
In his words, there is hardly a person who knows what fate has been prepared for Turkey and people living in it by the main centers of world politics.
“It is not ruled out that the next political explosion will occur in Turkey. We still do not know what direction the big global players will indicate. In this context there are as many dangers for Armenia as prospects exist,” Manucharyan said.
Commenting on the Armenian Genocide recognition process, Manucharyan stressed the necessity of fundamental changes. According to him, Armenia should intensify its actions in order to achieve success in this issue.
“New approaches should be displayed in the issue of Genocide recognition. Recognition or non-recognition of the Armenian Genocide is the approach of each country and they will take that step if they consider it necessary, regardless of Armenia’s calls. Over those years Armenia lost part of its historic homeland and it should restore its integrity. When we say Armenia, we mean the Diaspora as well – with their help, we should go towards our aim,” Manucharyan said.
